Description
The local dialect for this variety of ethiosomali frankincense is Qaradhoon, whose resin exudes from the tree of Boswellia rivae. The resin is dark chocolate brown in appearance, initially with a viscous, honey-like consistency that soon morphs into a highly compacted solid resin. This makes it retain most of its volatile components for a longer period, giving it a much more consistent chemical and scent profile. The colour of the oil varies from almost colourless to bright brown, with a distinct citrus scent most likely from its high limonene and 3-carene content.
